A new report by Fáilte Ireland said the limited availability of places to stay across the region and lack of restaurants in Cobh in particular, is a challenge facing the tourism industry. The new report said it aims to “develop Cork as a world region of gastronomy, reflected in the quality and range of food and drink experiences”. Fáilte Ireland CEO Paul Kelly said the sources of funding for the ambitious five-year plan"will be identified" as they"go through the plan"."Obviously, there'll be various potential source of funding become available over time, be they kind of rural regeneration, urban regeneration, funding from other parts of government... in the Department of Transport, in the case of greenways, et cetera.
