Earlier this year, the actress announced that she would be taking a break from the cobbles after having played the soap for more than 10 years.Coronation Street,The actress also took the time to reflect on her journey on the soap, and how she has had a “wonderful” time on“I’ve been very, very lucky – I’ve had some fantastic storylines,” she said. “It’s been a great run for me and 13-and-a-half years just flew by.

She added that she was going to be missing her co-stars the most when she does leave the soap, as she had “made friends for life.”Her popularity with viewers landed her a permanent role on the soap.“When I was lucky enough to be offered four episodes, I could never in my wildest dreams have thought I’d be here 13 years later,” she said at the time.

“It’s been an incredibly difficult decision but it feels like the right time for me to explore some other roles. But this isn’t the last you’ve heard of Michelle Connor – she’ll be back! I can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for the future.

Celebrity Big Brother will make it’s return in early 2024 and Phillip Schofield is tipped to join the lineup
