Nicola Kenny died when the car she was in was struck by a lorry in 2016
Coroner Paul Morris was speaking at the inquest into the death of 26-year-old Nicola Kenny, who died instantly from multiple injuries when the car she was in was struck from behind by a lorry in September 2016.
It happened just a day after she had given birth to her daughter Lily-Rose, and she was on her way to Temple Street Hospital with her aunt and mother. The driver Ciaran McBride, from Armagh, was subsequently given an 18-month suspended sentence for careless driving. Driver fatigue was a factor in the accident.
