Coronation Street's David Platt has a big role to play in his murderous uncle's downfall in dramatic scenes set to air later this year.
Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd has teased what's in store for evil Stephen Reid later this year, and hints his character plays a major part in it. Corrie fans will know that villagers are catching onto the fact Stephen isn't quite the nice guy he portrays himself to be, as his murderous ways are set to be found out.
While Stephen is still a long way from getting caught, soap icon Jack reveals that David Platt will play a key role in bringing his evil uncle down. "I'm interested to know how it ends. It'll be sad if Uncle Stephen does have to leave permanently, because it's always a shame when you lose a Platt – someone close to your family. Hopefully he just gets arrested or something, but I don't know, because he has done a lot of bad stuff and he's killed people!"
"David ruined Sarah's wedding, so as a penalty for that, Stephen took Sarah instead. David has always resented Stephen for that and it's been frosty between them both.
