Coronation Street star Jude Riordan has sweetly shared his 'shock' at being nominated for another award. The actor took to social media to reveal he has made it into the 'Favourite Young Actor ' category in the TV Times Awards 2023.
Also up for the award is Scarlett Thomas, the daughter of Jude's on-screen auntie Tina O'Brien, who appears in Waterloo Road as Izzi Charles. Alongside a glimpse at the category in a post on his Instagram page, which is run/monitored by his mum, Jude wrote: "Shocker I've been nominated for Favourite Young Actor at the TV Times Awards."He went on to say: "Look at that category. I'm so chuffed to be in it.
@terrym1983 commented: "Congratulations! Wow such a hard category!!! This just shows how much young talent we have at the moment. All deserving and all with very very bright futures. Good luck!" @ashleygardneroffical replied: "Some of your mates in there too! May the best mate win. Good Luck! Obviously will vote for you."
It comes after Jude jokingly quipped about the 'rocky' love life of his on-screen alter ego. The young actor, who also stars in Brassic alongside former Corrie star Michelle Keegan, could be seen in a behind-the-scenes snap posing with his friend and co-star Bella.
