Managers of the cafe cited a drop in footfall due to roadworks caused by the installation of anti-terrorism bollards

Independent family run cafe and delicatessen Mannetti’s closed on Monday, May 22, saying it wouldn’t open again until the following Saturday.

“Access to all businesses and homes is being maintained while the work is carried out. Pedestrians have through access and diversions are in place for vehicles with staff on hand to support them. “We are planning to reopen the footway fully by June 9, but necessary drainage work may mean that a further short closure of the street is necessary. If this is the case, we will continue to liaise with businesses and residents to ensure that any disruption is kept to a minimum.”read: “Due to ongoing works out the front of Mannettis and significantly reduced/no footfall. We have made the decision to close Monday – Friday to do some painting. We will re-open Saturday, May 27, at 10am.
