People in Nottingham have been urged to only drive 'where it's essential' this weekend as temperatures could reach 29C. The city will be hotter than many holiday destinations including Ibiza as a heatwave hits.
Nottingham City Council has now issued a number of warnings, including advising people to avoid driving. It has also warned against people swimming in the River Trent.In a tweet, the authority said: "It's going to be a hot one in Nottingham, especially tomorrow. Remember sun cream and a hat if you're out in the hottest part of the day and especially for children and older people.
