Blackburn councillor aghast at security tags on Iceland supermarket packets of meat

A councillor has expressed his dismay at seeing security measures on packets of meat in his local branch of Iceland.

Inflation hit double-digit figures last month and is predicted to rise to 13 per cent later this year. The Labour councillor .for Great Harwood and Hyndburn described the situation as 'sad'.Cllr Brerton snapped the red meat in the security box and questioning what has happened. Posting on Twitter, he said: "Taken today at the Iceland Food Warehouse in Blackburn. Steaks are now in security boxes on the shelves.
