A multi award winning country megastar has been accused of sexual assault and battery in a lawsuit filed by a former employee. Garth Brooks , 62, who is married to fellow country music icon Trisha Yearwood, is alleged to have raped a hairstylist during a work trip in 2019.

Additionally, he was accused of violating the Bane Act, Ralph Act, and committing gender based violence. Jane Roe's filing states: “Our civil court system is designed to resolve disputes and provide injured parties a means of redress.
In a statement to The Mirror, Roe's attorneys, Douglas H. Wigdor, Jeanne M. Christensen, and Hayley Baker: “We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks. The complaint filed today demonstrates that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood and in the rap and rock and roll industries but also in the world of country music.
