There were 147 deaths in the province between Jan. 30 and Feb. 26.

and 22 during the first week. That brings the total for February so far — with a reporting period starting Jan. 30, 2021 — to 147. Any deaths on Feb. 27 or 28 will be captured in next week’s report.

The province stopped reporting daily totals, including deaths and hospitalizations, through the COVID-19 online dashboard on Feb. 6 in favour of weekly summaries. Saskatchewan is the only jurisdiction in Canada currently using this approach. All of the reported deaths were in those age 40 and older, with 11 per cent of deaths among those 40-59 and 55 per cent of deaths among those 80 or older.

Regina saw 268 new cases, while Saskatoon had 191. The remaining cases were in the far north west , far north central , far north east , north west , north central , north east central west , central east , south central , south west and south east regions. There are 78 cases with pending location.
