Several subvariants, including BQ. 1 and BQ. 1.1, have been increasing more rapidly than BA. 5 in Ontario. Saskatoon’s viral load increased by 51 per cent, in a reporting period ending Oct. 26, the first increase. Prince Albert’s rose by 86 per cent in a period ending Oct. 24, while North Battleford saw an increase of 58.7 pet cent in a reporting period ending Oct. 21.
