Charlie Cresswell's continued England U21s presence serves as an indicator of his abilities and he has the opportunity to send another message to Daniel Farke this evening
Charlie Cresswell will be hoping to secure his second start in five days this evening as England Under-21s take on their Ukrainian counterparts in Slovakia. The defender got 90 valuable minutes under his belt last Thursday as the Young Lions saw off Serbia 9-1 at the City Ground and he’ll be keen to keep his spot under Lee Carsley and secure more game time.
Cresswell can count himself unfortunate to be in the position he is, too. The youngster started the season well, replacing the injured Liam Cooper to good effect on the opening day before starting at Birmingham City the following week. That start came in a loss, but he looked the part in what was a severely depleted Whites outfit at St Andrew’s.
