CRH said that early-season project activity and favourable weather in certain regions of North America were further supported by pricing progress and contributions from acquisitions, which offset lower volumes in Europe.During the first quarter, CRH completed a $2.1 billion materials acquisition in Texas, while seven other strategic bolt-on acquisitions were also completed which were worth $0.1 billion.
