BREAKING: Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to training with Manchester United following the death of his baby son.
The 37-year-old and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, revealed in October that they were expecting twins but announced this week that their newborn son had died during childbirth, while the daughter survived.
Ronaldo was granted compassionate leave and played no part in United’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday evening. But the Portugal international was back at United’s training ground on Wednesday afternoon as the club prepare for their next Premier League game againstIt has not been confirmed whether Ronaldo, who has scored 15 Premier League goals this season, will be available for the match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.. Both sets of players also wore black armbands during the game.
Ronaldo’s other sister, Katia, also shared the clip of Liverpool fans applauding and wrote: ‘Way beyond football.’ Speaking about the tribute after the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said: ‘My moment of the game was the seventh minute when the whole stadium showed pure class, so many things are much more important in life than football.Liverpool fans paid their respect to Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner at Anfield
