The drama which has followed Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield being accused of 'queue jumping' at Westminster Hall, during the period the late Queen was Lying in State, continues to rumble on. The ITV presenters faced a public backlash with some even signing a petition to have the pair axed from their morning show.
Fans, however, are still annoyed about the incident. Holly and Phillip appeared on Tuesday's This Morning after the show took a break so ITV could cover the Queen's funeral on Monday, September 19, reported Leicestershire Live.
Writing on Twitter, one person said: “We didn’t jump the queue but appreciate how it looked.” Is this year’s “It wasn’t a party but we appreciate how it looked.” Another said: “No Holly you were not given special ******* permission you skipped the queue because you two think you are so important.
The programme began with Phil and Holly addressing the backlash in a special segment covering the Queen's funeral and Lying-in-State. Holly said in a VT: "Like hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists, we were given official permission to access the hall.
