Internal audit found staff raising a lack of clarity regarding promotional opportunities and a lack of career direction
Staff working at RTÉ’s current affairs programmes reported a lack of transparency, a fear of openly speaking out, and little or no belief in corporate supports, according to an internal audit released on Tuesday.
The national broadcaster’s HR department in late 2021 hired Miriam Maher of Resolve Ireland, the workplace relations consultants, to audit “the nature of the culture and working relationships” within the current affairs units.
