A cyclist has been arrested by the North West Motorway Police after he was reported pedalling up both the M6 and M62 in the early hours.
The man was first spotted on the M6, before heading onto the M62 Croft Interchange, with several calls being made to the police by the seemingly bemused general public. Officers from both the police and highways then managed to locate and apprehend the cyclist in question.
And not only was he in trouble for cycling on two motorways, it was also discovered he had failed to appear in court and was a wanted man. He was duly arrested and taken into custody in Merseyside. If you see anything untoward while out on the country’s motorways, highways or byways, then please call the police on 999. If it is a less urgent matter, than dial 101.
