Gardai appeal for information after group of armed men assault and drive over cyclist in north Dublin
A cyclist has been hospitalised following a serious assault by a group of men armed with weapons in north Dublin.
According to gardai, the man was run over by a black saloon car before a number of men got out of the vehicle and assaulted him with weapons.A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí at Raheny investigating a serious assault are appealing for information. "A number of men then got out of the car and assaulted the injured man with weapons the men then left the scene in this car. The injured man was taken to Beaumont Hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
