The members' bar of Dáil Éireann, exclusively reserved for TDs and Senators, was forced to close temporarily due to a large rodent being spotted on the premises.A spokesperson for the Houses of the Oireachtas confirmed that the bar was closed shortly afterwards and remains sealed off while the situation is being handled.
It is believed that ongoing renovations works at Leinster House may have disturbed rodents living below the 274-year-old building.
