'Why can they put other people's lives at risk? I would just like to know why. Why am I worth so little?'
An east Lancashire resident says he's been forced to live in a mould-ridden home with his teenage son for over three years.
"They know about this. The electrician said, 'well we can't do anything about this until the roof gets repaired,' because it's all running from the roof. They've just put scaffolding on, it's been up for about two, three months. They put it up, then put it down. No work carried out." At the time, he was recovering from his second stroke, but this was only the tip of the iceberg, as the house provided issues of its own. Jason said his eldest son moved out "because he couldn't stick it anymore" and his daughter, who had just had a baby, ended up sofa surfing, due to the house being "that bad." Jason added: "I've lost my kids, my grandkid and now we're moving out again after three years.
Jason also said that Together Housing 'dropped' three of the ceilings in the home - the bathroom, living room and small box room, to combat the asbestos. however, the family were still living in the property when this happened.
