Dad and son who stabbed car thief to death in bloody vigilante killing are jailed
A THUG dad and son who stabbed a car thief to death with a knife and sword in a gruesome vigilante killing have been jailed.
David King, 55, and son Edward, 19, confronted Neil Charles after he gave them a thumbs-up on their security camera.The violent duo have now been jailed for life after being convicted of murder.Ipswich Crown Court heard the pair kept knives, knuckle-dusters, machetes and registered shotguns at their home in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
They were determined to deliver their "own justice" when warned about car thieves operating in the area and ordered a sword to add to their grisly hoard. On June 20, 2021, David King stabbed Neil using a Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife - a double edged knife resembling a dagger. His son also sliced the thief with a 27-inch Ninja Sword before puncturing the tyres on his pushbike.He claimed he had attempted to apprehend the thief, who had fled the scene after being stabbed.
