Dan James netted twice as Leeds United eased to a 4-1 Yorkshire derby win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday
Leeds United winger Dan James was delighted to see his side take advantage of early pressure in their excellent 4-1 victory over Huddersfield Town on Saturday. The Wales international opened the scoring on 20 minutes, as he and Crysencio Summerville helped themselves to first-half braces in what was a blistering first half.
The Yorkshire derby victory was the perfect response to Wednesday night's defeat at Stoke City, but James was quick to point out that converting early pressure into goals is something Leeds have struggled to do so far this season, "I think from the start of the season we may have been on top first 20-30 minutes and not taken our chances," he told LUTV. "Teams come here and think if we get through the first 20-30 minutes we can build ourselves into the game and we didn't let them do that today."We've got to keep creating chances, keep breaking teams down and we were excellent today. Next up for Leeds is a trip to Championship leaders Leicester City on Friday night, with James ready to put the work in at Thorp Arch this week. "It was a great win for us. We've got a massive game next Friday against the leaders who are doing great this season. We've got a big week building to then and we're looking forward to it."
