This season of Dancing with the Stars brings significant changes with a new judging panel and a fresh lineup of professional dancers. Karen Byrne joins the judging panel, while Kylee Vincent is taking a break, and Montel Hewson and Jillian Bromwich have departed. New pros Maciej Zieba, Rebecca Scott, Daniela Roze, and Alex Vladimirov join returning dancers Laura Nolan, Denys Samson, Ervinas Merfeldas, Simone Arena, Stephen Vincent, Robert Rowinski, and Salome Chachua. The judging panel also sees a change, with four experts now scoring the performances, mirroring BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Meet the pros This season has seen a big change-up in the pro dancers cast. Karen Byrne has joined the judging panel , Kylee Vincent is on a break after welcoming a baby and Montel Hewson and Jillian Bromwich have left the show. New pros Maciej Zieba, Rebecca Scott, Daniela Roze and Alex Vladimirov are now part of the bill. They join returning dancers Laura Nolan, Denys Samson, Ervinas Merfeldas, Simone Arena, Stephen Vincent, Robert Rowinski and Salome Chachua.
Judging Panel For the first time since 2022, when Julian Benson stepped away, there is a switch-up in the panel with four experts behind the judging desk, matching BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Two-time winner Karen Byrne has swapped the dancefloor for the score cards, linking up with Brian Redmond, Loraine Barry and Arthur Gourounlian.
“Having been lucky enough to win it twice and working with all my incredible dance partners, it will feel strange sitting on the other side of the desk,” says Karen. “I can’t believe it – I have to pinch myself! It doesn’t feel real, I don’t think it will feel real until I sit in the chair. I’ve always looked at the judges’ seats and thought, ‘That must be the best seat in the house’.
