Earlier this month, upon Chmerkovskiy's return to Los Angeles, the dancer also expressed how relieved she was to have their family back together again. “I never thought our family would be directly affected by this in our lifetime,” she wroteat the time alongside an image of the two of them embracing at the airport. “I never thought what we are seeing on our TVs was a reality in 2022. I have never hugged him so tight. Shaking and forever grateful.” She concluded, “Now it's time to heal.
