Yasmin Seky, known for her role as Nikita in the Irish crime drama Kin, is experiencing a new chapter in her life as she competes on Dancing with the Stars. Yasmin Seky crashed onto our screens as Nikita on Kin in 2021.And it’s safe to say that her life changed forever.
Now she’s showing off her dance moves on Dancing with the Stars every weekend and admits that it’s another big change for her.Speaking to VIP Magazine, ahead of Sunday night’s performance she admits that it is “strange” to get recognised for the show rather than the character she has played. “It can be a little bit strange. When you’re on a show like Dancing with the Stars you’re the personality but when you’re playing a character on Kin people are like ‘I really like Nikita’,” she admits.
“It’s strange to have people come up and say ‘I really like you, I like your personality’. It’s a weird change. It can go both ways. If people say they don’t like Nikita, that’s grand because she’s just a character. But if someone says something negative about yourself it’s very different.”“I have genuinely no idea if it’s coming back. But I’d love to get the thigh high boots on and be Nikita again. I would not say no to it,” she enthuses.
