Leeds United maintained their unbeaten run away from Elland Road
Daniel Farke said Leeds United's 1-1 draw at his former club Norwich City was a "good advert for the Championship". The Whites, who lost Ilia Gruev to a knee injury early in first half, fell behind in the 15th minute when Josh Sargent fired home from the penalty spot after Joe Rodon fouled the forward in the box.
The result lifted United up to fourth in the embryonic Championship table and extended their unbeaten away run to four matches. Whites manager Farke said it was a "good point" on the road, praising the character and spirit his players showed to the midfield reshuffle and going behind. Joe Rothwell replaced Gruev in the centre and Farke was full of praise for the Bournemouth loanee's performance. He was pleased with how Rothwell and Ao Tanaka, who was handed his first league start, worked together in the midfield engine room. Tanaka was given the nod, with club captain Ethan Ampadu unlikely to play again this year due a serious knee problem.
