The County Down man has made history as the first Irish male swimmer to win gold at the Olympic Games and the first gold medallist in swimming for Team Ireland since Michelle Smith
Daniel Wiffen shared an emotional embrace with his twin brother Nathan after winning an Olympic gold medal.
His twin brother Nathan was one of the first people that Daniel ran over the hug after coming in first. The pair have been training together throughout their swimming career, with Daniel admitting that he might not have won gold without his brother.
