The Irish comedian has been in Paris supporting some of the athletes and managed to nab a photo with the Olympic champion.
Comedian Dara O'Brian has shared a snap with Ireland's latest Olympic champion Rhys McClenaghan after his remarkable performance in the Pommel Horse final.
The Wicklow-born stand-up comedian and TV host managed to get his hands on McClenaghan's gold medal with the gymnast spending time with supporters following his victory.READ MORE: Rhys McClenaghan's parents steal the show with brilliant interview after gold medal success In doing so he secured the third gold and sixth medal in total for Team Ireland, and also Ireland's first ever gymnastics medal at an Olympics.
“It feels like a dream, it’s a dream well-earned and I just can’t believe it’s happened," exclaimed McClenaghan. "It always felt like it was going to happen but I wasn’t sure when.
