They complained they were unable to access ticket sales for over 30 hours
July 30, 2024 6:39 pmThousands of darts fans complained of a “black screen of death” as they flooded to buy tickets for the World Darts Championships – crashing the ticket website in the process.
The message remained in place until Tuesday afternoon, when the PDC announced that tickets for the event had been sold out.that she paid £49.99 for an annual pass to get early access to tickets for the world championships, but was presented with the black screen for nearly 30 hours. Her disability means that she will only be able to view the game if she is seated in the disabled section, where spectators are allowed to bring a carer free of charge.
Ms Kellard added that she looked on alternative ticket platforms and was “disgusted” to find tickets on sale for nearly ten times their original price.“I think it is a terrible industry and it really needs regulating a bit more.”
