Two-year-old Hunter Parker, a darts enthusiast battling Neuroblastoma, had his wish granted to meet his idol, 18-year-old world champion Luke Littler, before the Premier League Darts event in Belfast.
Luke Littler has made the dreams of a darts mad toddler from Belfast come true before he appears at the Premier League Darts event. Hunter Parker , two, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at just 16 weeks old before going on to spend over 100 days in intensive care undergoing treatment for the tumour on his spine.
Due to this compressing on his spine he was been left unable to walk and has nerve damage in one of his arms, but despite this he has become an avid darts player. Ahead of the Premier League darts kick-off at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Hunter's mum Emma spoke earlier this week who said her son has been obsessed with darts for the past year, with Luke 'The Nuke' Littler becoming his favourite player and hero. She told Belfast Live that she hoped that her son might be able to meet the 18-year-old darts world champion when he was in Belfast this week for the Premier League event at the SEE Arena and following an appeal with Belfast Live the young boy's dreams came true. Luke's dad messaged Emma on Wednesday and invited Hunter and his family to come down and meet with him. They also presented Hunter with a signed Luke Littler magnetic dart board and gave the family some tickets to watch the event on Thursday night. Emma said: "We are so thankful to Luke and his dad for arranging for Hunter to come and meet with him, it really was a dream come true and he loved every minute of it. He was in his element. "Luke's dad messaged me on Wednesday and invited us down to meet Luke and even presented Hunter with a signed dart board and tickets to go and see him live. "It was such an amazing experience and we are just so grateful that they made such a wonderful effort for our boy." The Premier League Darts starts at the SSE Arena in Belfast on Thursday night with all tickets already sold out.
