A Surrey man has been recognised for his “tireless commitment to badgers”. Dave Williams, of West Surrey Badger Group, was presented with The John Taylor Award at the Badger Trust’s annual meeting in Coventry on May 13. John Taylor was one of the founding members of the National Federation of Badger Groups , which later became Badger Trust. The annual award presented in John’s name recognises outstanding services to badgers., is the award’s first recipient. He has worked to save badgers and protect their spaces for decades, both on the ground and through his involvement with local badger groups and Badger Trust.
