The Scotsman is now almost certain to leave the London Stadium when his contract expires this summer barring what would now be a hugely unexpected twist.Moyes has had a largely successful spell with West Ham, but the recent run of form has left his hopes of remaining at the club next season hanging by a thread.
The Hammers have won just four games since the turn of the year and were dumped out of Europe following their quarter-final defeat to Bayer Leverkusen on 18 April. After Amorim reportedly jetted into London to meet with the Hammers’ owners on 22 April, that surely marks a further blow to Moyes’s chances of earning an extension on his current deal, which is set to expire in June.
The Scot would have been hoping his Europa Conference League triumph last season would have been enough to win over the board, but it appears as though his days are now numbered in east London.
