As we head into the winter months, people are expecting their electricity and gas bills to skyrocket with more households relying on their heaters as temperatures plummet
The Fuel Allowance will start being paid from 25 September 2023 until 5 April 2024.
Households opting for lump sum payments will get €462 in September with another €462 to arrive in January 2024.Those signed up for weekly payments will start getting €33 which continues for 28 weeks in total. However, if you apply for Fuel Allowance after the start of the Fuel Allowance season, it will not be backdated.
