Seven people have now been confirmed dead by police after a petrol station explosion in Ireland.
Donegal explosion: Death toll rises to seven in Applegreen petrol station blast in Creeslough, Ireland
The seven fatalities were confirmed on Saturday morning after an emergency response operation continued through the night, with first responders from both sides of the Irish border. Nina Gabel, 35, at the scene on Friday night, said: “There was one woman who didn’t know where her daughter was and she was very upset.“What looked like local farmers’ tractors were helping to dig out the rubble.”Irish premier Micheal Martin described Friday as one of the “darkest of days” for Donegal and Ireland.
