Review into RTÉ to examine impact of commercial operation on public service remit
• Dee Forbes, who resigned from her post of RTÉ director general yesterday, will not address the Oireachtas Media Committee hearings on the RTÉ payments scandal on Wednesday citing health reasons.
• Announcement follows numerous calls from politicians, including Taoiseach Leo Varadakar, in the last 48 hours for Forbes to provide information on the scandal. • Media Minister Catherine Martin has issued a fresh statement concerning an external review into RTÉ governance.
