Multiple fire crews scrambled to Sauchiehall Street following reports of a fire inside a multi-storey building at around 1am. Police say it was deliberately started and have launched a probe.
Dramatic footage has captured the moment thick black smoke poured out from a building on Sauchiehall Street as firefighters rushed to a 'deliberate' fire in the early hours on Thursday, March 21.
On arrival, plumes of smoke could be seen coming out from a building, believed to be the dental hospital. An eyewitness, who claims to have also witnessed the Victoria's nighclub fire in 2018 and the Glasgow School of Art fire that same year, told GlasgowLive: "There were four fire trucks outside the dental hospital and as we went further down the road we could see smoke coming out from the side of the building.
