Royal Care Home in St Annes has been inspected by the CQC, receiving a 'Requires Improvement' rating
Health inspectors at an dementia care home in St Annes have found soiled equipment in the bathroom and inadequately trained staff, a Care Quality Commission report has stated.
Inspectors found that Royal Care Home did not adequately assess or manage the risks for the prevention and control of infection, finding equipment had not been stored appropriately. During their visit, they found the environment was unclean in certain areas. Upon their visit, inspectors found that risk to people's health, safety and wellbeing had not been managed or assessed consistently. The report states: "Documentation did not include all the information to guide staff around how to provide safe care and treatment. Care records did not always reflect accurate information relating to people."
