Denise O’Sullivan acknowledged after Tuesday night’s 2-0 defeat to England that Ireland had ‘a long way to go’ to reach the levels shown by the best in the world.
“We need to play better, we need to be better on the ball and hold it up and play in midfield and get on the ball, and we have to have no fear, demand it.There were some basic errors in possession on Tuesday night, with simple passes not going to feet and control sometimes letting players down. “It’s something we’ve always lacked and we do need to improve in that going forward. Yeah, we’ll try to take the positives and keep going, but we’re disappointed.
