Depeche Mode founding member and keyboardist Andy Fletcher has died aged 60 DepecheMode
The keyboardist of the 80s band, which consisted of himself, Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Alan Wilder, passed away "peacefully".
"Our hearts are with his family, and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and respect their privacy in this difficult time." Lead singer of T’Pau said: "Oh no!!! Fletch was a lovely guy DM one of my all time favourite bands sending all my love to his family friends and band members.”“Fletch was a warm, friendly and funny person who loved electronic music and could also give sensible advice about the music business. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends and to Dave Gahan and Martin Gore. Neil & Chris xx”.
While a third added: "The death of Andy Fletcher has hit me harder than I realized. I cannot wrap my head around Depeche Mode as a duo. I’m grateful I got to see them a handful of times. But I just can’t imagine him not being onstage anymore. I’m so sad right now. #DepecheMode".
