The acting deputy warden for Northumberland County Jail is accused of pointing a loaded gun at a woman’s head, according to court records.
Family members found the Catawissa man after he crashed his motorcycle on Route 487 and was waiving people down, the affidavit said. The woman told police that McCoy had been drinking and she knew there was alcohol in the saddlebags of his motorcycle. McCoy was agitated by the officers and attempted to order them to leave his property, according to the affidavit. Eventually, he was physically restrained by officers and they took his weapon.
