Deric is well known for his hourly weather updates on Ireland AM but he will be missing from the show for the next two weeks as he swaps morning TV with an evening talk show
Deric has become a fan favourite on the morning show, originally doing the weather forecasts but now travelling around the country as a roving reporter.
Taking to Instagram, Deric revealed he would be stepping in to present The Six O'Clock Show on Virgin Media alongside Katja Mia. Sharing a snap of him on The Six O'Clock Show couch, Deric wrote: "From breakfast to teatime TV! Moving to @sixoclockshow to anchor with Katja & crew for the next 2 weeks starting this Monday 22nd July so looking forward to the new challenge & the long lie in!!"
