League of Ireland side Derry City have gone across the Irish Sea once again to add to their squad.
Derry City have completed a third signing in 24 hours, with Scottish midfielder Dom Thomas joining from Queen’s Park, but manager Tiernan Lynch knows there is one aspect of recruitment that the Candystripes need to work on.
And after bringing in the likes of Liam Boyce, Shane Ferguson, Gavin Whyte and Carl Winchester from across the water, he wants to make the club a more attractive destination for some of the best League of Ireland-based players. “I do think it’s a nut we will crack and I think there are certain things we have got to put in place, things we can do off the pitch as well as on the pitch to make them want to come here.
“I think as a player when you hear the ambitions and the drive of this club, it’s something you want to be part of and as a player that matches what I want to do with my career.
