Derry City made the announcement on social media.
Derry City have confirmed that Tiernan Lynch will take over as their new manager after agreeing a deal to leave Larne.
Derry City’s CEO Sean Barrett released a statement on the club’s website along with the announcement. “There is a lot of work to do over the coming weeks in preparation for next season and we are very much looking forward to starting work with Tiernan later this week.”Lynch kept tight-lipped before the announcement when speaking Tuesday night at a presser for the BetMcLean League Cup tie against Institute.
"Promotion to the Premiership was secured in April 2019, while the club’s 33-year wait for a senior trophy came to an end when the County Antrim Shield was won for the first time in December 2020.
