This is quite the acting gig!
Irish actress Louisa Harland – who is best known for playing Orla McCool on the hit show Derry Girls – has only gone and landed herself an exciting new theatrical role.and is set to hit the stage in London later this year.the 2018 metatheatrical drama, follows an American actor, English director and Northern Irish playwright as they attempt to stage a new play.But when it turns out that they’re not on the same page as they begin rehearsals, the night threatens to spiral out of control.
Louisa will be joined by some pretty big names including the likes of Woody Harrelson, who will be playing the American actor and award-winning performer and director Andy Serkis who will take on the role as the English director.Speaking about the production, director Jeremy Herrin said: “I’m delighted that this rollercoaster of a play has summoned such a stellar roster of talent to join us for this pitch-black comedy at the beautifully refurbished Riverside Studios.
Adding: “It’s an honour to bring the legend that is Woody Harrelson to London; to welcome Andy Serkis back to the stage after so much success in the movies; and to enjoy the brilliant Louisa Harland going toe-to-toe with them both.” The production will run for eight weeks from 4 December – 28 January at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith.
