Farrell played his first Championship campaign for Dublin under the late Paddy Cullen back in 1992.
The three-time All-Ireland winning goalkeeper was laid to rest last Wednesday after succumbing to a lengthy battle with illness at the age of 80. He also had a two-year spell as Dublin manager and gave Farrell his Championship debut against Offaly in 1992.

Kerry legend pays tribute to fallen Dub“It was sad to see Paddy go,” said Farrell. “He was a genuinely great character and a very kind and compassionate man so I know that that ‘70s group, it’s heart-wrenching for them of course because they’re all very tight and very close and there’s another one of their great comrades passed on now.
