An area of Drogheda was evacuated and cordoned off following the explosion of a suspicious device outside a house at the weekend.

The feud hasn’t gone away despite a number of key players either in prison, dead or have fled overseas," the source continued.
In a statement on the suspicious device, An Garda Siochana said: "Gardaí were alerted to the detonation of a suspicious device outside a residence in Rathmullan Park, Drogheda, Co. Louth at approximately 6:30am on Sunday May 26."The area was evacuated and a cordon was set up around the scene. The services of the Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal were requested to examine the device.
