Diageo is aiming to double its production of Guinness 0.0 in Dublin with a €30 million investment in its St James’s Gate Brewery.

The move is expected to bring St James’s Gate’s Guinness 0.0 production capacity to 176 million pints per year – almost double it capacity from last year.Speaking on a visit to St James’s Gate, Tánaiste Micheál Martin said the investment is a “welcome boost to the area surrounding St James’s Gate”. He said he was also updated on the work being done to bring the historic Rupert Guinness Theatre in the Liberties back to community use during his visit.

“Additionally, the efforts to return the Rupert Guinness Theatre to community use are hugely welcome, as it is important that the Liberties, and indeed the wider locality of the South Inner City, have the community spaces they require.
