Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has under $10,000 in her campaign chest for her possible 2024 reelection campaign.
Her campaign raised just $600 in the last three months and raised a total of $100,000 in all of 2022, the Hill reported. In contrast, two California Democrats who have announced their campaigns to run for her seat, Reps. Adam Schiff and Katie Porter, have raised $21 million and $7.4 million, respectively.Feinstein, 89, has not yet announced whether or not she will run for reelection in 2024, but increasing concerns over her age and health have raised extensive doubts.
Feinstein has occupied her position for 30 years and is currently the oldest serving senator in the country. She has previously said she isn't sure whether or not she will run for reelection but will make her decision by the spring. "She still intends to announce her decision in the coming months," a spokesperson for Feinstein told the Washington Examiner last week.Feinstein has brushed off concerns that she won't be capable of carrying out her term through 2024, pledging to complete her term at the very least.
