Hazel Wood, 80, was shocked when she received a letter telling her she’d need to cough up, 30 days after a shopping trip with her daughter.
A disabled pensioner was hit with a £100 parking fine despite using an app to pay for a ticket and displaying her blue badge.
She told StokeonTrentLive: “My daughter paid to park in the Crown Street car park, in Stone. But 30 days later I received the £100 parking penalty in the post. “We went to a few shops and a cafe and I said ‘Whilst I’m here I’ll go in B&M’, so we went in and I spent £59 in there on a £40 chair to sit outside and some other things. Julie pushed the trolley and put the stuff in the car.”
