Distressing footage shows man throttling small dog on wasteland in west Dublin

A video showing a man cruelly grab a small dog by its throat and shake it like a rag doll has caused outrage on social media.

The grim footage shows the brute throttle the pup on wasteland at Damastown Industrial Estate near Blanchardstown in the past week. The little dog, which looks like a springer spaniel, is seeing running away and cowering after the man lunges at it, Dublin Live reports.The distressing clip was shared on a local neighbourhood watch Facebook page, along with a plea to locals asking them to report the man if they see him there again."If anyone knows anything about this or sees it happening please contact the DSPCA on 01 4994700 or the Gardai.
